In spring I also tried to do a piece of wickerwork to support another clematis, but I 'm not content with that. I don't have skills for that kind of work and it turned out to be difficult to weed inside this construction - so next time I likely will use wood, screws and drill for making trellises.
I also would like to briefly discuss in this topic presented to supports and trellises about marking the young plants in order to protect them from lawn-mower man in summer and wild animals in winter. In first summer I lost 1/3 of coryllus avellana plantation thanks to my beloved lawn mower man, so last summer I decided to improve the protection by packing the young plants into red net bags in addition to the wooden marking sticks - it worked 100%. I left these cheap bags also for winter to avoid possible goats' damages.
